Spring Again!

When March is here, a new gardener's thoughts turn to dirt and seeds and planting. I was inspired to plant a few cherry pits that my daughter & I had saved last year. We put them in pots and we're waiting for them to grow.

But that was last week--when it was 70+ degrees. Now it's back in the 40s and I'm not at all inspired to plant anything.

However, I did buy a lot of seeds and if I don't get my tomato seeds in soon, we probably won't have tomatoes. It's tough to think about fresh tomatoes when it might snow on Thursday. Obviously, I won't be planting outside.

My rock garden looks pathetic. It definitely needs the green bushes that Mark wants. So far I think everything but the lavender has died.
